The L.G. Sokolov Memorial Hospital №122 was founded in 1973 by the Federal Medico-Biologic Agency at the Ministry of Health and Social Development, by Order 01.10.73 No. 8 of the USSR Ministry of Health. It operates under the aegis of the Federal State Institution of Healthcare. Its current license No. FS-99-01-005383 is valid from 05.29.2008 through 05.29.2013.

Hospital №122 & Outpatient Clinics
Hospital №122 offers a wide variety of specialty areas devoted to outpatient care. These include the following: dermatology, internal medicine (which includes nephrology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology), cardiology, cardiac ICU, and two different surgical units. Hospital №122 also has several surgical subspecialty units, which include micro-hospital, urology with lithotripsy, gynecology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryingology, anaesthesiology and resuscitation unit, and central operating rooms.
Among other surgical divisions, there are those of trauma and orthopaedics, neurosurgery, facial-maxillary surgery, vascular surgery, endocrine surgery, surgery of the liver and biliary systems, and proctology. Hospital №122 also offers up to date diagnostics as follows: clinical diagnostic laboratory; radiology unit with computer tomography, MRI; densitometry, and endoscopy. Hospital №122 also offers «Functional Diagnosis» with the center for ultrasonic non-invasive vascular studies «Vita Vasorum» total ultrasonography, and nuclear diagnostics. All divisions have excellent quality patient rooms with varying levels of care – enough to accommodate 550 patients. Several centers of both federal and regional significance that have been modeled after Hospital №122 are currently in operation. These include facilities for treatment of multiple sclerosis, roentgen-endovascular surgery and interventional cardiology, liver and biliary system surgery, treatment of young adult onset hypertension, endocrine surgery, treatment of respiratory problems, as well as the Somnology (Sleep Disturbance) Center. Also, Hospital №122 is pleased to be able to offer a number of divisions that are not typically available in most local medical establishments, whether in the city or in the country as a whole. These include units of clinical pharmacology, extracorporeal hemocorrection and UV blood irradiation, roentgen-angiography,, hyperbaric oxygenation, blood bank, treatment quality evaluation marketing, research laboratory for studying public health economy & management, publishing department releasing advertisements, round-the-clock (24/7) information and advisory services, and in-house repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
